May the fourth be with you

Well it’s May, Β (May the fourth be with you πŸ˜‰ haha) my youngest turns a year at the end of the month. πŸ˜• Its kinda giving me a bittersweet feeling. He’s growing up so fast, he’sΒ got almost all 8 (4bottom and 4top) teeth in, he’s been walking assisted for a couple months or so now, and this past week he’s been trying to walk unassisted. Gideon was barely walking assisted when he turned a year, but I guess with having a bigger brother Calian strives to do more quicker. Gideon is loving having someone to play with (and to pick on), though I’m still trying to teach him he has to still be gentle until his brother gets older. I love watching them together, Calian loves to follow his brother while Gideon loves to chase him, they both laugh, it’s adorable, though also very loud, haha. Coffee has definitely been my life saver and fuel lately, the coffee machine that I got from my in laws when Mr.K and I got married is still working great and hasn’t let me down. πŸ˜€

We’ve had a lot of flooding and Β tornadoes here in Texas this Spring and last Fall, our yard has become a moat a few times during the heavy rains. πŸ˜› Even though I’m enjoying the rain and all I can’t wait for some sun! I’m going to be buying some ant killer since our yard is being taken over, so I can actually let the boys out to play without having to worry about them getting covered in ants. We could all really use the sun, I also miss the tan I use to have before apartment life.

Next month we are going on a kayak trip with some friends, I can’t wait! It’ll be up at beavers bend in Oklahoma. Hopefully the weather will be extra nice and warm. Its been two years since our last trip, Β we’ve been trying to go once a year but last year two of us moms were 8+months pregnant or just had a baby so we figured we’d skip it. It’ll be an 11mile trip down river so it’ll be almost a whole day trip (last time we got done 2 or hours Β early, we’ll see how we do this year).Β

I’m still working on my photography Β and actually have a few pictures for sale on a couple photo stock websites. (If you wanna check them out I’m on istock and fotolia) I don’t got a lot of pictures up but I’m working on it and still trying to get the hang of it, they are mainly moon, sunset and scenery pictures for now, but I enjoying taking them so guess that’s good. πŸ™‚ I also got my own photography page on Facebook, N.K Photography, if you want to check out more of my pictures there. πŸ™‚

I’m still working on my writing, haven’t done a lot but I do what o can during nap time. πŸ™‚ Β I’ve got a few stories going, all of which are different from the other. I’ve got one set in a fantasy kind of land, another is what some people call steam-punk mixed with some sci-fi, another is modern day with FBI, and the other is set in a modern small town. I’m hoping to at least get one of these finished soon but we’ll see what happens. πŸ˜› πŸ™‚ Β

6-7 months and pregnant again! 😁

Standard

Due to not having a working laptop, and having a very active toddler on my hands, and well spending time with my wonderful family its been about 7 months since I’ve written anything on here. I’ve kept up a little with my story writing and stuff but just haven’t put anything up.

The biggest thing that’s new in our home is I’m pregnant with baby boy #2 😁 👣💜 I’m due the beginning of June and can’t wait to meet him.🚼 So far he’s already a very active baby who loves his space. Haha! I love feeling him move around. 💜 👣

We’ve also bought a new vehicle this month. A mini van that’ll fit both car seats and still have plenty of room for road trips and whatever else we do. πŸ™‚ And technically its my first vehicle so that’s pretty awesome! Even its nothing like I pictured my first vehicle being. 😜 We traveled up to Missouri to buy it, meaning I got to see my family which was awesome! Last time I got to see them was for Thanksgiving, and thankfully my brother who is in the Army was also visiting so I got to see him as well. πŸ™‚ The night before we came back home it snowed 6 inches, which was our first time seeing snow this winter, Gideon loved it and so did Knightly. ⛄❄

Hanukkah was wonderful this year/past year, Gideon loved being able to help light the candles. He was always sure too remind us to do it each night,  and he wasn’t every happy when it was over.

I’ll try to get on more but I’m not going to promise anything 😛 I hope and pray everyone is having a good 2015 year so far
Until next time. 🙋

Daily Post: Take That, Rosetta!

Standard

If you could wake up tomorrow and be fluent in any language you don’t currently speak, which would it be? Why? What’s the first thing you do with your new linguistic skills?

Spanish and German/Russian…toss up between German and Russian, but I definitely would love to become Fluent in Spanish/Mexican. I’ve tried learning it but only a few words have stuck everything else pretty much went in one ear and out the other. πŸ™‚

Reason why would be because, well I am part Mexican so I have family members who speak it; also living in Texas there’s a lot of people who speak it here and I really think it would/will come in handy one of these days. πŸ™‚ Plus I really like the sound of the Language too. πŸ˜› I’m hoping to be able to get Gideon learn it once he gets a little older so maybe I’ll start learning it better when I try and teach him.

First thing I would do would call my Nana and talk with her in Spanish! πŸ˜€ She can speak English but I know she likes speaking Spanish way more. πŸ˜‰

Texas Weather..and bits of random

Standard

Here I was thinking that Missouri had Crazy weather, but this summer in Texas almost has me thinking other wise!

Take today for an example… this morning it was raining, around one-ish it was really hot, then getting close to 5 it was raining and super hot outside, and now its like perfect temperature with just a little humidity.

Sure its giving me a headache and giving me a terrible hair day πŸ˜› but hey, I’mΒ actually kinda enjoying it right now. The Baby is a sleep and in bed so its just the husband and I sitting out here on the porch enjoying so good time together…alone…well okay other then the occasional neighbor that walks by, or the grasshoppers that keep flying at me. πŸ˜‰

Β

Not sure if it’s shown, but I posted the first ‘chapter’ of my book, its a separate page under the Page ‘Life to Choose’. Please, if there’s anything wrong or if you have any suggestions, comment and let me know. I’m still kind of new to the whole writing thing so I’m not that great and sometimes my fingers aren’t as fast at typing as my brain thinks. And if the story seems to be moving to slow or gets confusing, let me know so I can fix it. Thanks! I love to hear what y’all think of it, and my blog! πŸ˜€ I’m working on the next part of the book now, just having some problems with writers block but as soon as I’m finished with the next chapter I’ll post it and let y’all know. πŸ™‚

Β

My Mom is coming to visit soon! I can’t wait to see her, first my lil sister and now my mom, and then after she stays with us Β for a little while we are taking her back up to Missouri and I’ll get to see the rest of my Family and hopefully some friends. πŸ™‚ I’ll also get to meet my Little brother’s first and new Girlfriend, (he’s growing up too fast! Not cool, dude). It’ll be good to see everyone again. πŸ™‚Β

OH! And it’ll all be mostly around my birthday! I’m going to be 20 (but shh don’t tell ;). And as my Husband says, It’s About Time!! lol But hey, I’ve enjoyed my teen years, I Got engaged and graduated at 17, got married and had a baby at 18, and at 19…well I got pregnant again but miscarried, sadly, 😦 but other then that, just living the married and mommy life, and it’s been AWESOME!! πŸ™‚

A Day at Daingerfield State Park

Standard

Yesterday we weren’t really sure what we wanted to do, did we wanna just hang around town, go to Barns and Noble in Tyler, go over to Rockwall or what. Cause there’s only so many things to do here in Greenville that are family friendly, and we didn’t really want to watch a movie or go to Walmart (again) and the Mall…well our mall really isn’t a mall it’s more of a big empty building with a handful of stores in it with like hardly anybody there, its very sad.

So Mr. K started looking up things to do in our area, and he found this State Park that was bout a 2 hour drive away that he wanted to check out. So I started getting myself and the Baby ready to go and 30 min later we are on the road. Thankfully it was Gideon’s nap time so with in 10 min he was fast asleep in his car-seat.

The drive there was nice, But as soon as we pulled into the driveway area of the park it was like we turned into a whole new state! Gone was the brown grass and dying looking bushes, and trees that looked like the were about to wilt for having no water and being in this terrible heat, and out came this Beautiful looking wooded area with healthy looking trees, and grass that looked at least half way descent.Β IMAG5250

We first looked around a little bit, checked out their tent campsites to see if we’d be interested in camping there, and boy do they have some great spots for camping! A couple of the spots were a little hidden by trees, so it gave you a little extra privacy, which is something Mr. K really liked about the area.

Next, we wanted to rent a paddle boat to go out on the lake, so I put Gideon in a swim Diaper and his life vest, Mr. K rented the boat and we were off. I gotta tell ya, I seriously don’t remember paddle boats being that difficult when I was younger! Swear my legs felt worse then after walking 4+ miles- though I think I’m more outta shape then I thought I was. πŸ˜› We rented the boat for 4 hours but only kept it for probably 1, since Gideon was started to get antsy and a little fussy, plus it was starting to feel really hot out there. So we returned the boat and went down to the swim area. At first we kept Gideon in his Life vest but he didn’t like it very well (it was actually his first time in a life vest), so we took it off and I took him back out into the water, starting with just sitting on the steps that go into the water. With in 5 min we were back in the water and having fun. Gideon was even laughing. πŸ˜€ We had a blast, thanks to my wonderful husband who found a great park to go to! πŸ™‚Β IMAG5239 IMAG5225

On the way back home Gideon slept most of the way, he was pretty tired after a having so much fun…we were all pretty tired by the end of the day, but it was so worth it. πŸ™‚
